About Mathura Junction Railway Station

Mathura Junction railway station, located in Mathura district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, lies in Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai lines, connecting Delhi, Agra and Mathura. The station was opened by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway in 1875 and it is 47 km in length. It was transferred to North Eastern Railway in 1952. This station has a tourist information centre, computerised reservation centre, waiting room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshment rooms, a book stall and few telephone booths. Mathura Junction is one of the top hundred booking stations of Indian Railways.
